Bananas are a great source of both vitamins and minerals, as well as dietary fiber. They are rich in potassium which is important for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function. Using sweet bananas to make a smoothie is a good idea as you don’t need to add extra sweetener, thus making it a healthier drink!
Yields: 3 servings
- 4 medium bananas (sliced & frozen)
- 1 tsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsps hot water
- 1 cup of low-fat milk
- Dissolve instant coffee in hot water.
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and process on high until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
